Journal of Medieval Studies
Welcome to Lunellum!
This is the University of Toronto's first medieval undergraduate journal, and was founded in 2022 by Annika Rempel. Lunellum was started to provide a place for students of medieval studies with a chance to publish their work during their undergraduate studies. As this is such an academic field, the opportunity to submit work in a peer-reviewed process is incredibly beneficial, and helps the spread of medieval research!

Medieval Studies is an incredibly diverse field, with courses spreading across the University of Toronto - as such, there are no program requirements to submit a paper, aside from a love for the Middle Ages! We hope Lunellum can act as a manner of bringing all disciplines of medieval studies at UofT together to aid the academic community here on campus.

We hope to publish one volume a year, with a symposium in April to give our authors a chance to present their papers and celebrate their achievements!

Lunellum is a Latin term referring to a small crescent-shaped knife used to scrape parchment! The word has its roots in luna, the Latin word for moon.
