To be considered for Lunellum's editorial board, you should have some experience in medieval studies, either through MST or related non-MST courses, however, a major in Medieval Studies is not requirements. The main elements we are looking for are familiarity with academic writing styles, a solid understanding of English grammar and writing conventions, and the ability to provide feedback. 

Editorial Board Positions

Editor-in-chief
1 Position

  • Hiring associate editors

  • Assigning submissions to editors

  • Overseeing the final decisions of inclusions to the journal  

  • Initial contacting of authors, and asking them to agree to terms

  • Organizing editorial board meeting

Associate Editor
2-3 Positions

  • Assessing and ranking initial submissions

  • Attending meetings with editorial board to discuss submissions

  • Working with authors to:

    • provide feedback

    • general corrections

  • Communicating with Editor-in-Chief

Copy Editor
1 Position

  • Proofreading final drafts for grammatical and orthographical errors 

  • Double checking citations in line with the Chicago Manual of Style
